3 Ways to Raise Your Vibrations

Holla! Super pumped that you’re curious about raising your vibrations! I understand that all of the shit I love to rant about probably makes me sound like I am part of a drum circle and only wear clothing made of hemp (not that there is anything wrong with that) – but I’m telling you, this shit works.

As mentioned in my last post, I’ve been going through a lot of personal transformation. From establishing morning and night routines, practicing mindfulness and committing to building new skills – I am constantly experiencing little epiphanies about the life I want to live. Each day is part of a journey to get to that point and it has brought me to ask myself the question – how am I going to get there? How am I going to manifest all of the things I want out of life?

Most of the self-development books out there describe the universe as a radio station (or something of the like). You aren’t going to be able to listen to an FM station when you’re tuned into AM and vice versa.

This is the same for your life. You aren’t going to attract what you want out of  life by vibing at the wrong frequency.

If you want happiness, peace, success and financial freedom – you need to raise your vibrations to the same level those things are at.

Beating yourself up, staying in toxic relationships, hating your job, constantly worrying about your finances and overall just vibing low is only going to lead you to experience those things in abundance.

But when you choose to take control of your life and your thoughts – you’re able to control your experience.

It takes some trial and error – but you’ll realize that once you’re tuned into the right frequencies that life gets easier and overall just better.

I’ve compiled a little list of things you can start doing right now in order to start your journey to the life you want for yourself.

1. Be Kind To Everyone (Including Yourself)

It’s so easy to get wrapped up in our own little worlds and become distracted by our bad days or other people’s negative vibrations. We always have something to do or somewhere to be. Instead of living with intent, we simply react to the world without thinking.

As I am becoming more mindful and discovering the person I want to be – I find myself putting a lot of effort into being nice to strangers. Instead of judging people on the street, I try and look for something that I like about them. I’ve taken the time to sign and share petitions for both human and animal rights in addition to donating small amounts to charities here and there. These little practices have actually made a very big impact on my life. I find myself equipped with much more patience and understanding – even in the most frustrating of situations.

Being kind to strangers is an amazing thing that will inject an immense amount of positivity into your life – but it’s also important to be kind to yourself. At the end of the day, you have to live with yourself for the rest of your life! Would you want to live with someone who puts you down, insults you or makes you feel bad about your failures? Nah, dude. You would cut that person out immediately. Immediately.

There is no reason you should accept that type of behaviour from yourself either. Whenever you find yourself with that mindset, take a deep breath and list three things you love about yourself. It could be anything from your dope ass style, fly hair or quick wit. Doing this will help shift your mindset into a more positive one and send you on your way to those high vibrations.

2. Always Find the Silver Lining

This one took a bit for me to get used to. Finding the silver lining in sleeping in or ruining your favourite shirt isn’t easy – but once you start to take the time to search for it, your mindset begins to change.

Maybe you’ll have a more productive day because you got that extra thirty minutes of sleep, or perhaps ruining that shirt taught you to be more careful when doing laundry.

There is a lesson in everything and once you begin to look at the world this way, life becomes less of a struggle and more of a journey.

3. Trust That Everything Happens for a Reason

Tying into my last point – I truly believe there is no such thing as coincidences and that everything happens for a reason. I know that people, jobs and events have all come into my life at a specific time for a specific reason to teach me a specific lesson or serve a specific purpose. I know these people, jobs and events have all left at specific points in my life because they no longer enhanced my journey. The same goes for myself – I know I have entered and left different people’s lives in order to teach them lessons or enhanced their journey for the duration of my “stay”.

Just like everyone else, I haven’t walked through life gracefully. And I feel like all of the rock bottoms I’ve hit and all of the people who have loved me and hurt me have made me the person I am today. And I’m grateful for all of them.

Your life is yours and you have the power to create the reality you want. You know that deep inside of you you are capable of bigger and better things. Practicing kindness and working toward changing your mindset is just the beginning of the transformation you so deserve. Love yourself and love the journey – because once you start vibing high, you won’t want to come down.
